PURPOSE AND VISION

Faith Bible Church is a church that is incorporated in the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the person of Jesus Christ. It is a community of believers whose foundation is based upon the teaching of Jesus. The members have come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and very best friend. The following are the Primary Objectives of our PURPOSE AND VISION.

1. FAITH BIBLE CHURCH A PLACE WHERE LOVE IS FOUND

L -- LIFE GIVING MESSAGE
O -- OBEDIENCE
V -- VICTORY
E -- EVANGELISM

2. WIN THE LOST

We as believers, want to follow the Lord’s example of Jesus, when He said, “I have come to see and to save those who are lost.” To be obedient to the great commission to go into the entire word and preach the Gospel to every person. Mark 16:15. We will do this through Door to Door Evangelism, Friendship Evangelism, and Special Events Evangelism.

3. PRODUCE DISCIPLES

Matt. 28:19 states “Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations.”

On an individual basis, the goal is to produce a person who is radically committed to Christ, a person whose entire life is controlled by Christ. To be a disciple is to have all life’s activities and relationships controlled by Christ. Mark 12:30-31 “That we might love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind and with all our strength.” That we love our neighbor as ourselves. That we might be able to produce disciples who will be able to make disciples of others.

4. TRAIN SPIRIT – FILLED LEADERS

Mark 9:35 “If any man desires to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all”.

God is not looking for leaders to serve but servants to lead. A walk in the Spirit is the totality of our Christianity. As spirit-filled Christians we might have an impact on all their relationships and influence the world in which we live. It is only through Spirit-filled leaders that Christian communities can multiply.

5. MAKE THE GOSPEL RELEVANT TO TODAY’S WORLD

The goal is to communicate the Gospel in a manner that is understood by today’s world. Christians have their own language. We call it the Christianize language. We use terms the world does not understand. We will strive to be contemporary in a contemporary world with music, drama, mimes and our preaching. This only becomes effective in the power of the Spirit.

6. TO BE PEOPLE OF PRAYER

Matt. 21:13 “My house shall be called the house of prayer.”

It is through prayer that we maintain a personal fellowship with our heavenly Father. The power of the Spirit is released on the church through prayer. History bears out that every Revival has come through prayer.

7. THAT THE BODY OF CHRIST WOULD DISCOVER ITS GIFTING AND MINSTRY

The Pastor and his Staff are not to do all the ministry; but to train others to do the work of ministry. Eph. 4:11-16.

8. THAT WE WOULD BE A CHURCH THAT MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE WHOLE FAMILY

Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Music Ministry, Young Married’s, Senior Citizens, Moms and Dads, Singles, College and Career. That each people groups knows they are loved and cared for.

9. THAT WE MIGHT IMPACT THE WORLD THROUGH WORLD MISSIONS

Not only should we reach the unsaved in our community, but reach around the world through the mission. That we would raise the finances to support missions and that young people would be raised up among us to go. That our missionaries would be in unity with the vision of Faith Bible Church. That we would support them with prayer.

10. MEET SOCIAL NEEDS

Reach into the community that is hurting, with our Food Pantry and Needy Fund. To be the salt of the earth and stand up against social injustice. Take a stand against evil and sin. To speak out against abortion, euthanasia and sin of homosexuality, pornography, sex outside of marriage and other forms of sexual perversions, and substance abuse and all forms of evil.
